Vehicle reports are only as good as the information that is input. The most accurate information about vehicle reports are title status or changes. A good report doesn’t mean you are getting a good vehicle. True story here… A friend of mine had a nice new car that he totaled, not once, but twice. Claimed to insurance and totaled TWICE– if you look up that vehicle by it’s VIN#, you would never know that. That information is not there. So, vehicle maintenance history from an owner, dealer or repair service will likely give you more information than a vehicle report. If you are unable to find vehicle history, then the most current and important information you can gather from a used vehicle is from a purchase inspection!
